SERVICES OFFERED

Executive Services

Executive Services serve to maintain the momentum of fund development or programming functions during transitions, such as the departure of a CEO, a senior fund raising or program management professional.

   Benefits of Executive Services:

  • Maintain ongoing programmatic and fund development activities;
  • Provide leadership to a department or agency in which staff members are not positioned for interim management;
  • Maintain donor cultivation and meet solicitation deadlines during transition;
  • Manage special campaign activities or strategic objectives without losing staff focus on ongoing business objectives.

Executive Services typically last three to six months, with specific operational activities performed or managed.

Project-Based Services

Project-based services focus on specific activities that position the organization to operate more efficiently, or help establish new functions to be implemented by existing staff. These include:

  • Fund Development Program Start-up

Starting a new fund development program requires an understanding of the philanthropic opportunities available to the organization, planning, training of staff and volunteer leadership, creating standard policies and practices that establish the organization's culture of philanthropy. For many organizations new to fund development, the initial cost of hiring full time staff far exceeds the revenue generated in the first two years. Many organizations find that contracting services to establish a fund development program is an economical way to get started.

  • Fund Development Audit

    The Fund Development Audit evaluates current structure, staffing and ongoing activities of the Fund Development office to determine that they are aligned to efficiently meet the stated goals and objectives of the fund development program. The audit report offers suggestions to more efficiently align resources with program objectives.

  • Campaign Planning

    Every successful fund development operation has a plan. Campaign planning makes the most efficient use of existing resources by coordinating program goals and functions with staffing and other institutional resources. The campaign plan, adopted by volunteer leadership and staff, keeps the organization focused on goals and the strategies to reach them, and enables the most efficient use of budgeted resources.

  • Major Gifts / Grants Program Development

A successful foundation development effort requires cultivation of prospective donors, building a donor's ever-deepening relationship with the organization and commitment to its mission. Components of this service develop the major gifts or grants program while building the nonprofit agency's competency in continuing these functions in the long term.

  • Grants Management

Grants management services involve working with program and financial staff to develop standards for monitoring and reporting on grant funded activity, and meeting financial management and annual audit requirements at the lowest possible cost.
